The new Pokémon movie The Secrets of the Jungle will be released worldwide on Netflix on Friday, October 8, 2021! To celebrate the premiere of the film, Zarude, the Ape Pokémon, will make his debut in Pokémon GO! You can meet him by completing the special research that will be available for a limited time. You’ll also be able to enjoy much more in-game content inspired by the movie, including the return of Jessie and James to Pokémon GO.

A special investigation story will be available for a limited time! Complete this line of investigation to meet Zarude and help Professor Willow learn more about the Simister Pokémon. This is the first time that this Sinister and Grass-type Unique Pokémon will be available in Pokémon GO.
Meet Pokémon related to the movie Pokémon The Secrets of the Jungle! Hoothoot, Combee, Drilbur, Cottonee, and Dwebble, among others, will appear more frequently in the wild. If you are lucky, you may come across a Larvitar!
Pikachu Explorer will return to Pokémon GO and appear in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might come across a Shiny Pikachu Scout!
The Pokémon featured in the movie will also appear in raids during the event:
Scout Pikachu, Larvitar, Roggenrola, Foongus, and Rufflet will appear in Tier 1 raids. If you’re lucky, you might come across a Shiny Rufflet
Lickitung, Chansey, Pinsir, Ludicolo, and Flygon will appear in Tier 3 raids.
Jessie and James will continue their antics from last year’s event. Keep your eyes peeled on your snapshots and look for Meowth’s balloon. Jessie and James will appear on your Meowth balloon until Friday, October 15, 2021 at 10 a.m. m. in your local time.
Get themed Field Investigations at PokéStops to meet Audino, Rufflet, and more. If you’re lucky, you might come across a Shiny Rufflet!
