Pokémon GO Festival of Lights 2026: Pikachu, Spawns & Bonuses

Receive stickers featuring Pikachu wearing a saree or Pikachu wearing a kurta when spinning PokéStops.

Some event-themed Pokémon will glow during the event.

During Sparkle O’Clock, event-themed Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild for five minutes at 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. local time.

Sparkle O’Clock encounters include Charmander, Pikachu wearing a saree, Pikachu wearing a kurta, Chinchou, Mareep, Camerupt, Litwick, Lampent, Morelull and Tadbulb. Eligible Pokémon may be Shiny, and the two costumed Pikachu may have a Special Background.

Lure Modules will also be more likely to attract Charmander, Chinchou, Mareep, Camerupt, Litwick, Lampent, Morelull and Tadbulb.

Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta will appear in one-star raids during the event.

Lucky Trainers may encounter Shiny versions of either costumed Pikachu.

Raid encounters may also feature a Special Background.

Branched Timed Research will be available starting Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. local time, before the main Festival of Lights event begins.

Rewards include XP, Stardust, stickers featuring Pikachu wearing a saree or Pikachu wearing a kurta, and an encounter with one of the two costumed Pikachu with a Special Background. Eligible encounters may be Shiny.

Collection Challenges focused on catching event-themed Pokémon will also be available and will reward XP and Stardust.

Sparkle O’Clock takes place at 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. local time. Each featured spawn period lasts five minutes.

Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta can have a Special Background when encountered through eligible event gameplay.

This Festival of Lights event is exclusive to Trainers in India.
